What Is Generation?

The levels of generation at all major GB power stations can be monitored on an individual basis and it is possible to see which units are seeing the highest levels of generation and which are struggling or operating as peaking plants and only providing power when it is most needed within the system.

By considering these levels of generation and how they aggregate it is possible to understand the detail of any activity within the system.
